Our Easter..

To be honest this Easter didn't even really seem like Easter. And for the record i HATE.. yep HATE the Rota virus!! We spent the later part of last week in the hospital AGAIN! This time it was for little bugs. There is nothing worse than watching helplessly while your baby is sick and in pain. I think i may have cried more than he did! Since it is a virus they really couldn't do anything for him until he got overly dehydrated. So Brig spent Thursday and Friday getting fluids. He wasn't awake much which was good cause when he was he screamed about his "belly lake" (ache) and messed with his IV. He took two litters which seems like a ton for such a skinny little body. Late Friday night we were able to come home because he finally drank a little and kept it down. Saturday he didn't move he just layed in our bed literally all day! it was really scary actually he was awake for a total of an 1 1/2 hours the entire day. once we got home home me and seth started in with it but luckily its not a hard on adults. I had a couple days that felt like the stomach flu and seth got off the hook with the body aches. today, we are doing better! Brig is trying out all his Easter candy and last night we ALL ate dinner.yeah! It was definitely not a fun week and the holiday came and went without and special attention(sadly). its been when of those when it rains it pours semesters but we really are blessed to have our trials ones that can be overcome and thankfully are not more serious. I am so thankful for our little family. sometimes it feels so lonely being here so far away from freinds and family but at the end of any bad day all the strength i need i find here with my hubs, babe and in the watchful love of our Heavenly Father.
Happy late Easter!

This is sat the day we got home. when brig woke up seth tried to get him up and moving cause we were i'll be honest freaking out a little that he wouldn't move or say anything. Seth made this fort with him and this was all he wanted to do in it.. so sad but so cute.

Easter party @ wvsom

The week before Easter Seth's school threw a party for all the kids. They had a pretty big turn out which surprised me cause there are not very many families at the school but a lot of kids from the community were there so it was a lot of fun. they had a bunch of different refreshments for everyone games with prizes and pictures with the Easter bunny:) this is brig not sure if he wants to touch the Easter bunny all the while the little girl on the bunnies lap was in everyones pictures because she wouldn't leave his side and her parents just sorta let her sit there the entire afternoon. oh well at least Brig got to see him:)

Seth trying to help Brig do a sac race with the other two year olds.. very funny by the way. Brig just watched them all with an expression like are you kidding me you want me to do that?!

Bugs with his basket of goods! he found a TON of eggs luckily each had like one peice of candy in it.

spring break

This last week we were able to take a road trip to Iowa to see some of my family. my sister and her family live there so our family and my parents made the drive so we could all get together. it was so nice to have family around. i can't even describe how good that feels. going months without that kind of friendship and love around really makes you appreciate even a few short days.
we didn't do anything major just relaxed.. had actual adult conversations.. that didn't somehow lead back to school:) and let the boys play to they hearts content. i love watching Brig with his cousin Flynn, he loves that little boy so much you would think they were brothers. the picture below (please ignore the finger up his nose!) show's just what i mean, We took the boys to the mall and let them ride the carousel a few times. this just happens to be little flynn's favorite thing in just about the whole wide world, so when it came time to leave he completely broke down. bless his heart he was totally devastated to leave those little horses. so once we got them into the truck and got on the road flynn quieted down when we looked in the back to see what had made the change this is what we found. My Briggy boy holding flynners hand and flynn totally alseep. I feel so blessed to have such a great family and that Brig has such a wonderful cousin to grow up and face this world with. i had cousins close to my same age growing up and honestly don't know how i would have ever survived the rough phases of life without them. Gosh i miss Family.. Can you tell?

I know this looks like they are hugging but no they are trying to wrestle. Flynn had just spent the weekend watching the national wrestling championships and so he was wired and wanted to wrestle his daddy no stop. It didn't take long before Brig wanted in on it. Only he had never seen a real match so he had no idea what he was doing but his "fightin face" was good and he really thought he was using his big ol' muscles!

"The fighting face" this expression has become somewhat permanent on his little face. he is so spunky, and full of attitude i think i may have my hands full:) It must come from Seth, Ha Ha

Brig warming up a little after swimming with Flynn and Grandpa

Riding the beloved Carousel..and not the best picture for it but there is my baby bump. only 15 weeks and already looking 5 months so yeah I'm a little worried! If any of you saw me at the end of my last pregnancy you know why:)

Such a good week. our Family needed a break. I got to enjoy conversations, have girl time with my mom and sis, and be in a not TOO quiet house. Brig got to play with his best buddy and get spoiled ROTTEN by papa and grandma.. i guess we all did though! And all the while Seth got awesome all day uninterrupted board study time and nights off with the rest of us. if only spring break were longer than just a week..
